Thing 23: Is it the end or only the beginning?

I'm grateful to have the opportunity to learn 23 new things that I can use in instruction. In the past, I've been willing to utilize technology and my colleagues have seen me as a person who is knowledgeable about technology. Because of our curriculum changes last year, I was thrown into integrating technology in instruction, and now cannot imagine turning away from it. After completing this course, however, I feel a little more legitimate in my expertise and feel more connected to resources.

My favorite discovery was the Weebly sites. They are intuitive and easy to make. The overall product is impressive as well. I am hopeful that I will have the resources to use our websites and blogs daily. You can check out the site that I've started here. My students will be able to use many of the Web 2.0 tools and post their products to their websites.

I would be quick to participate in a program similar to this. Technology is rapidly changing, and programs like this are useful in providing new and updated resources. Staying informed and playing around with new tools can help keep one up on current trends and development. A website that presents fun, new tools is Digital Goonies. A very tech-savvy coworker shared this site with me. I also intend to read more of my fellow 23 Thing-member blogs to read about their ideas and resources. Ultimately, I've taken away ideas that I am anxious to implement in the new school year. Thank you!
