Assembly Required

These words could best be used to describe the past few days of my life.

It seems that every summer I become obsessed with furniture. I think it's because every summer, including this one, I have been moving- producing a need for new furniture. I feel that with this move, I have been particularly sluggish in getting "settled in". However, I took some great strides this weekend.

On Friday, I went to Fort Worth to visit Kylie. On my way, I stopped off at Grapevine Mills and purchased my first project. A few weeks ago, I found this beautiful console table at a great price online. I loved it! But I didn't whip out my credit card and order away. By the time that I has talked myself into the purchase it was out of stock. Story of my life. I then checked the website daily in hopes that it would reappear. I also called all the local stores within a 30 mile radius. Among all of these stores, they had two- in the wrong color. Ugh! When I called Grapevine Mills though they had plenty in stock, but the sales lady said the sale didn't start until Friday. Now I knew the great price online. I had subsequently seen it in the ad in the paper for a sale price that was twice what it had been online! So I was skeptical of what "sale" price I might find in the store. When I got there however, the beautiful table was $30 cheaper than the low, low online offer. Oh happy day!!!

So here is a timeline of my Friday night...
6:30 pm

7:30 pm

A little after 8:30pm

And then on Monday, my new dining table and chairs arrived. It's my first grown up purchase. So I pulled the tool box back out and went to work. Thankfully, I had Amy Jo and Kylie to help.

Here's the finished product.

We ate dinner on it that very night. Hannah was there to join in on the fun. So happy to have her here in Dallas! (This is the pre-Bachelorette finale dinner.)

It might not have been all smiles putting it together, but I sure am enjoying my new furniture!
