Thing 7b: Google Reader Revisited

I've recently begun to freak out about STAAR/eoc- not so much about the content but the fear of the unknown. One thing that is known is the emphasis on writing- writing quickly and concisely. For this reason, I've been thinking a lot about how I can integrate more writing in instruction with minimal grumbling. I also want students to have experience quickly generating and communicating ideas. This article from Alan November's site is about digital writing and gave me several ideas.
The writing project incorporated several of our Web 2.0 tools we have talked about like Flickr and podcasting. I truly think that technology will be the key to engaging students in writing.

  1. I have a 13 year old, and I feel like she is such a guinea pig for all these changes. I may have to take a look at November for some ideas, too. She has always been a strong writer, but like you, I am a little uneasy about the unknown.
