A Head Above the Rest

I have prided myself on being a thrifty person- I clip coupons; I wait for sales; I buy in bulk. Sometimes, however, this thriftiness causes me to overestimate my capabilities. "Oh yeah, I can put together that furniture myself." "That box doesn't look that heavy. No need to pay extra for delivery."

In the time that I have read blogs, I have envied all of the super cute backgrounds and headers out there. By the time I started mine, there were plenty of cute, free backgrounds out there. But then, there was my dumpy little header- as exciting as bolded Trebuchet can be. Finally, I found a site with pre-made headers that you plunked your picture into. I was thrilled to find it but still wanted something more.

Last night, I found it. Free, fully customizable headers!!! I was delighted. You pick your own background and "stickers", customize your text and font, and upload your favorite pictures. You can build a header from the ground up or choose a theme. (I highly recommend choosing a theme.) There is a huge variety, so I'm sure you can find something you like. Be careful- not everything on the site is free but there is plenty of free stuff available to make a great header.

This could have easily turned into one of my too confident moments because I am not tech savvy. But it was so easy to build and then upload to my blog. Trust me- if I can do it, you can do it!

I have furniture being shipped to the store ($30 versus $119) that I will then put together myself (f-r-e-e-e) early next week. Let's hope it is a success story like this one!
