I think part of the reason I like reading blogs is because it feeds my tendency to be nosey. A blog is personal and topics that are addressed are typically something the writer feels strongly about. In searching through the edublogs, I found several encouraging posts written by administrators. I recently finished my Masters in Educational Administration and do intend to become a principal. The author of The Principal of Change spent time reflecting on the lessons he has learned from serving as principal of a school in Canada. He was discussing the point that a good school is made up of more than just good teacher. He writes this, "As with any team, if you are not able to bring the talent together towards a common goal, there is less chance of organizational success (Miami Heat anyone?)." Perhaps this quote stuck out to me because it allowed me to relish in a Mav's victory once more. Either way, I found that it was an important point.
Great connection to the Mavs championship. I am always impressed with anyone that can make a sports analogies to education. It is so true!
ReplyDeleteI think you are my first Blogger that admits they are nosy! Too funny (yet honest)!
