Thing 6: Feed Your Reader

An RSS reader makes it easier to keep up with the recent activity of blogs that interest you. The reader can skim the material and it is stored for future reference.

I think part of the reason I like reading blogs is because it feeds my tendency to be nosey. A blog is personal and topics that are addressed are typically something the writer feels strongly about. In searching through the edublogs, I found several encouraging posts written by administrators. I recently finished my Masters in Educational Administration and do intend to become a principal. The author of The Principal of Change spent time reflecting on the lessons he has learned from serving as principal of a school in Canada. He was discussing the point that a good school is made up of more than just good teacher. He writes this, "As with any team, if you are not able to bring the talent together towards a common goal, there is less chance of organizational success (Miami Heat anyone?)." Perhaps this quote stuck out to me because it allowed me to relish in a Mav's victory once more. Either way, I found that it was an important point.

  1. Great connection to the Mavs championship. I am always impressed with anyone that can make a sports analogies to education. It is so true!

I think you are my first Blogger that admits they are nosy! Too funny (yet honest)!
